Kathryn was caught in the car by her seat belt and the car caught fire and burst into flames. Annie Pearl was thrown from the car and spent time in intensive care afterward. She never really got over the accident thinking it was her fault. She kept Kathryn's eye glasses till the day she died. Story told to me in e-mail of Anna Pearl (as she liked to be called) by her granddaughter, Clarissa Ann Ehle of Shelbyville.
