Maggie andGussie were very close their entire lives. They both stayed in KY theirentire lives, while Grace's husband moved his entire family to Hollywood,CA in 1918. This I learned from Jo Ann Hawkins this summer. Thatexplains why I never heard Sid's mom or Sid mention Aunt Grace. RobertC. Hume moved to CA also at some point but I don't know when. Jo Annremembers him in Hollywood. Sid remembers Aunt 'Gukki,' Augusta, as he called her, when he was smalland lived with his mother and her parents, Maggie and John Stigers, whilehis dad was at war and then a German POW. When the war was over and hisdad came home they stayed in the Army and left KY, only returning forvisits. Annie and Maggie were out of the home in 1900 because Maggie Hume marriedJohn Isaac Stigers on Dec. 25, 1897 and Annie Young married James F.Stigers (John's brother) on 23 Jan 1898. Interestingly the two couplesboth married in Clark Co., IN, less than a month a apart.
