The death of Mrs. Mary Meadows, widow of Simpson Meadows, whose death wasnoted two weeks ago, occurred Saturday. The funeral was Monday, she wasborn in Shelby county, Kentucky in 1820. Her parents died and she wasbound to one Mr. Harris. As she was badlly treated she was removed andplaced in the care of an uncle. She and Mr. Meadows were married March17th, 1834. She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom areliving. In 1847 she was converted and joined the Baptist Church. In herfamily she was kind and affectionate; highly esteemed by all who knewher. Tuesday evening she retired withe the remark that she was sick.Long fever rapidly developed and Saturday evening she passed to herreward.
