Soldier married his third wife, Elizabeth Skiles, in 1832.

the widow of Jacob Hunter deceased who was a
Private in the company commanded by Captain
___________ in the ________ Regiment of
___________ Commanded by Col Logan
___________ in the War of the Revolution
That her said husband volunteered at Boone Station Ky
on or about the ____ day of July A.D. 1780 for
the term of _________ and continued in actual
service in said war for the term of ________
and was honorably discharged at _________
about the ____ day of _______ A.D. 1780 or 1781 she
refers to the papers on file in the war office for particulars.
she further states that she was married to the said
Jacob Hunter in Owen County Kentucky on the _____
day of _________ 1831 by one _____________
a minister and that her name before said marriage
was Elizabeth Skiles. That her husband died in
Owen County Kentucky on the 22nd day of March
1856 and that she is still a widow.
She further states she has no private record of her
marriage and from an examination of the proper office
she is not able to find a public record thereof.

She further states that a land warrant for 160 acres of
Land No. 26.473 issued to her late husband but after his
death. Which warrant she herewith returns.
She makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining
the bounty land to which she may be entitled under
the Act passed 5 March 1855.

our oath declare that the foregoing declaration was
signed and acknowledged by Elizabeth Hunter in our
presence and that we believe from the appearance
and statements of the applicant that she is the
identical person she represents herself to be. We
further declare that we were intimately acquainted
with the said Jacob and Elizabeth Hunter at the time
of and before their marriage. That they were married
in Owen County Kentucky on or about the ___ day of
____ 1831 as stated in the foregoing declaration and
continued to live together as man and wife from that
time until the death of the said Jacob Hunter. That
the said Jacob Hunter died in Owen County Kentucky on
the 22nd day of March 1856 and that said Elizabeth
Hunter is still his widow and that we are disinter-
ested.
