Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 3, 1:30 p.m. at the Milward Mortuary-Southland Drive in Lexington, Ky., for Robert D. Preston, 85, of Lexington who passed away Sunday, March 30.
Mr. Preston was born Oct. 2, 1923 at Thealka, Ky., son of the late McClellan and Hazel Spears Preston. He was a retired attorney, he also served as an assistant Kentucky Attorney General and Commissioner of Insurance. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Louise Kesler Preston, and one grandson, Gregory Heizen.
Surviving are three children; Robert D. Preston Jr. of Bagdad, Ky., Julia L. Preston of Louisville, Ky., and Timothy R. Preston of Lexington; nine grandchildren; and two cousins, Dr. J.W. Spears of Paintsville, Ky., and Gene Daker Spears of Marion, Ohio.
Burial will be in the Bagdad Cemetery at Bagdad.
Arrangements under the direction of the W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland Drive of Lexington.
