This Indenture made and entered this 27th day of August in the year of
Our Lord one thousand and Eight hundred and forty nine by and between
Isaac Brumley of the county of Shelby and state of K. of the one part
and Santford Ross of the County and State aforesaid of the other part
witnesseth that the said Isaac Brumley and and in consideration of the
sum of one hundred and thirty dollars when paid the Receipt whereof he
doth hereby acknowledge hath this day bargain and sold and doth by these
presents, __________ and convey unto the said Sanford Ross his heirs and
assigns to _____ use and _____ forever a certain tract or parcel of
land lying on and being in county and state aforesaid on Big Breech
Creek Bounded and described as follows to wit beginning at a stone
corner to Daniel Brumley in said Ross line and running in a Southerly
direction with the said Daniel Brumleys line to a corner in Beech Creek
Corner to said Brumley in the line of John M Campbells heirs. Thence
Easterly with said heirs line to a small red oak corner to said Ross in
said heirs line. Thence with the said Ross s ____ line in a Northerly
direction to a stone corner to said Ross in said heirs line Thence
Westerly with said Ross line to the Beginning nineteen acres and one
quarter more or less to him the said Ross to have and to hold the
foresaid tract of land with all and singular the appentenances thereunto
belonging to the said Isaac Brumley together with Kitty Ann Brumley his
wife who relinquishes her right on and to said land bind themselves and
heirs to warrant and defend said tract of land to him the said Sanford
V. Ross against the claim or claims of themselves or heirs or any person
claiming in through or by them ____ any other way whatsoever. In
testimony whereof we have hereunto set our names and affixes our seals
this day and date first written.

Catharine Brumley being examined by me privately and apart from her said
husband declares that she did freely and Willingly seal and deliver said
writing and wishes not to retract it and acknowledges said Writing again
shown and explained to her to be her act and deed and consenth that the
same may be Recorded.
Whereupon said deed and this certificate were Recorded in my office.
