On Sept. 8, 1942, Agnes Shackelford Jennings and Nannie B. Hulettapplied for a Birth Cert. on James Washington Shackelford (mygrandfather). Agnes was 75 and Nannie was 83 at the time. Agnes waslisted as being an Aunt and Nannie being a non -relative of James(Shack), as he was called. He was living at 3918 Vermont at the time. Thedocument showed Albert, as James's father ,24 yrs. old and his motherKatherine Hullett, 21 yrs. at the time of James W. Shackelford's birth.Albert and Katie resided in the district of the Benson P. O.

At the time of her death she was living at 719 Shelby Parkway . Herhusband, Amos died in 1930 and she must have moved to Lou., Ky. afterthat because on her death cert. it reads that she had lived in Lou. for20 yrs. Both her and Amos were buried in Pleasureville in Henry Co., Ky.The informant for the death cert. was her son, Louis A. Jennings, who was51 yrs. old at the time.
