    Lawrence Gordon, a well known citizen of Franklin County, died at a sanitorium in Lexington where he was sent for treatment some ten days since Sunday afternoon. He had a wide acquaintance and many friends throughout Frankfort and Franklin County. He had been actively engaged in agricultural pursuits until recent years when declining health rendered it necessary for him to retire, since which time he has made his home with his son, M. E. Gordon, in this city. Born at Polsgrove's Landing at the mouth of Flat Creek, he had spent most of his life in this and Henry Counties. He is survived by five children, four sons and one daughter as follows: M. E. Gordon and Smith Gordon of Frankfort, Robert Gordon of Louisville, Lawrence Gordon Jr. of Madison, Ind., and Mrs. Hattie Burdette of Chicago. The funeral services will be held from the residence of M. E. Gordon on Broadway. Burial in Frankfort Cemetery.
