- [S796] Interview of Louis Peter Kueber (1910-1989), Garril Kueber, June, 1988 (Homewood, Illinois).
Louis P. Kueber said:
John George Kueber emigrated to avoid military conscription.
Aloysius Louis and his family moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota in 1920. They also had a summer cottage at Cass Lake, Minnesota. A. L. Kueber was diagnosed at Mayo Clinic just after 4 Jul 1926 as having cancer. They gave him only six months to live. He died of cancer almost exactly six months after it was diagnosed. His son Louis was sent away for his senior year in high school to St. John University in Collegeville, Minnesota, probably because of his father's health.
Louis Kueber said his oldest brother Herman Kueber tried farming in North Dakota. His father tried to help but eventually he went bankrupt and moved to Minnesota. - [S953] Family Bible of Hattie Martin Kesler, Family record pages held by Glinda Kueber Tufts (rest of book discarded)., Glinda Sue Kueber,
