Note John Seaton Robinson, who married Kate Bohannon, was the youngest of the thirteen children of Robert Robinson and Sarah Aiken, who were born, respectively, in 1810 and 1817 in Ireland. They were married in 1832 and emigrated to Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1837. John Seaton Robinson was born there on 04 May 1856 and eventually became a lawyer who established a practice in Madison, Nebraska, in May, 1884. He served two terms as County Attorney and was Judge of the District Court before being elected to the U. S. Congress. He and and Kate Bohannon had two children, Adeline, who was born in 1894 and John S., Jr, who was born in 1900. Judge Robinson died on 25 May 1903.

John Seaton Robinson (b. 1856- d. 1903) was a Nebraska Democratic politician.
Born in Wheeling, Virginia (later West Virginia) on May 4th 1856, he studied law and was admitted to the bar by the supreme court of West Virginia in 1880. He moved to Madison, Nebraska
Madison, Nebraska in 1884 becoming the prosecuting attorney for Madison County, Nebraska from 1886 to 1888 and again from 1890 to 1892. He was a judge of the Nebraska's ninth judicial district from 1893 to 1895. He was elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-sixth and Fifty-seventh Congresses (March 4, 1899-March 3, 1903) unsuccessfully running for reelection in 1902. He died in Madison on May 25, 1903 and is buried in Crownhill Cemetery in Madison.4
