Note Verbatim note from Rootsweb.com, contact jbickleyj
Note: Emily arrived in a covered wagon with her parents in 1849 SHe had a high pitched voice and smoked a clay pipe. Like all pioneers familiar in the old ways she declined to have electricity installed and preferred to use a coal-Oil lamp. Emily was a rather private independent Person. She was fond of her grandchildren and received the Lord in her 80 th year from her grandson Rev, Rolley Wells a methodist minister A grandson that attended her funeral said that she was buried in the Vally Cemetery with her family though no headstone exists. Today we can not find a record of her burial and thus she retains some privacy. Info was gathered in 1984 from the widow of Rev. Rolley Wells and Everett Smith the last grandson who fondly remembers Emily Davault Smith THe vital Info was obtained from Emilys Family Bible In possession Of J. Delbert Wells in Jefferson City Missouri
