    1853 DIVORCE:KY, Grant Co. Ibid;
    In a divorce action, brought by George, in April of 1853, and found in Circuit Court Box 75, he charged her with desertion stating that she had abandoned him in favor of her children. The 1850 census showed that she had, by that year, left his company and again assumed the name of Franks. This indicated that they were living separately for at least three years before he decided to initiate divorce proceedings.

'YESTERYEAR'S MEMORIES'
as told by (Richard Sanders), great-grandson of Rebecca Hulett (dau ofthis Joseph Hulett) to PSH via email June 2007.

The Hulett family migrated from Fayette County, KY, to Morgan County,IL., and on to N.W. Missouri. Census records show that at least fourchildren born to Joseph Hulett and Elizabeth Hukill eventually located toGentry County (I can’t account for two Hulett daughters). The four wereHenry Hulett, William Dudley Hulett, Polina Catherine (Hulett) Berry, andRebecca (Hulett) Mallory. Using census birthdates and birthplaces fortheir children, I can closely estimate the dates of migration fromIllinois to Missouri as follows:

Henry – abt 1867
Wm. Dudley – abt 1869
Polina Catherine – abt 1869
Rebecca – abt 1878

It seems that Henry was the trail blazer. Then, William Dudley and Polinamoved with their families. Finally, mother Rebecca Hukill made the tripwith Rebecca and Edgar and their family. Henry made a stop in AndrewCounty in 1870, but they were all living in Gentry County by the1880census.

As a note of interest my grandfather, James Mallory, was among the sixchildren that Rebecca and Edgar moved from Illinois to Missouri alongwith his grandmother, Elizabeth Hukill. I well remember he used to tellme that the difficult trip from Illinois was made in a covered wagon.
