Thomas Haskell 'Hack' Stucker FRANKFORT STUCKER, THOMAS HASKELL 'HACK,' 83, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005, after a long illness. Mr. Stucker was born in Shelby County, KY, on September 18, 1921, to the late Evie Sluscher Stucker and Thomas Dudley Stucker. Jessie and Elmer Bolton were foster parents to Mr.Stucker after his mother died when he was an infant. Mr. Stucker served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II and the Korean Occupation and attained the rank of master sergeant. He was a devoted member of Memorial Baptist Church in Frankfort and was named Deacon Emeritus after serving many years as Deacon. Mr. Stucker operated the Capitol parking lot and retired from the State National Bank (Whitaker Bank) in 1986. He was also a member of the Frankfort Boat Club. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Emma Jean Young Stucker; children, Angela (Glenn) Bennett, Charlotte, NC, and Rod Stucker, Goodlettsville, TN; grandchildren, Larry Bennett (Janis), Charlotte, NC, Susan Bennett Bostick (Tim), Fort Worth,TX, Keith Stucker (Beth), Louisville, and Jennifer Waterhouse,Hendersonville, TN; great grand- children, Lauryn, Brooklyn, Abbye andTaylor Waterhouse, Keenan Bennett and Coulter and Alexander Bostick; two sisters, Christine Shouse (Everett), Shelbyville, KY, and Betty Jean Stratton, Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2005, at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home with visitation from 4-8 p.m. onWednesday, April 6, 2005. The service will be conducted by the Revs. EarlBell, Dr. William Carter and Jesse Stricker. Interment will follow at the Bagdad Cemetery, Bagdad, KY. Honorary bearers are present and past deacons of Memorial Baptist Church. Active bearers are Glenn Bennett,Larry Bennett, Keith Stucker, Donald Morse, Bobby Shouse and Herald Bolling. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Baptist Church Vision Fund, 130 Holmes St., Frankfort, KY 40601, American Lung Association PO Box 9067, Louisville, KY 40209, or Hospice of the Bluegrass-Franklin County, 208 Steele Street, Frankfort, KY 40601.
