I Elizabeth Mason of the County of Spotsylvania being weak in body but of sound mind and memory thanks be to the Lord for the same, do make this my last will in the following manner, viz ~ I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be buried at the direction of my Executors hereafter named ~ And as to what worldly Estate I am in possession of I dispose thereof in the following manner ~ Imprs. I will that all my Just debts and funeral expenses be paid ~ Item. I will that all my Estate be sold on twelve months credit and the money arising from such sale (after allowing my son George Mason twenty seven dollars, for his trouble and expenses attending the distribution of my husbands estate, as also that of my own formerly given up to my children) ~ to be equally divided between all my children That is to say to my son Smith Mason one ninth part, To my son Benjamin Mason one ninth part, ~ to my Son George Mason one ninth part, ~ to my Son James Mason one ninth part To my Daughter Wilmiseth Mason one ninth part, ~ To my Daughter Nancy Henderson one ninth part, ~ To my Daughter Susanah ~ (Ihave her line) Partlow one ninth part, ~ To my Daughter Elizabeth Mournings children one ninth part, ~ To my Daughter Sinah Thackers children one ninth part, ~ hereby revoking any will by me heretofore made declaring this only as my last will. ~ Lastly I appoint my two sons, Benjamin Mason and George Mason, Executors to have my will Executed according to its contents in Testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this first day of June Eighteen hundred and twenty six.
